It’s important that companies not only make statements of support, but also take concrete action. Statements are nice, but actions matter. I would love to hear CEOs and business leaders engage in real, ongoing dialogue about the issues of systemic racism and the treatment of Black people and all people of color. To effect real change, we need to see leaders — people in power — speaking up, standing up and initiating change. The time is now. It’s way overdue.
